Whilst working as a Speech Pathologist in public health facilities I was involved with assisting people with Parkinson’s disease. Access to services and information is vital to quality of life for the person with Parkinson’s and their carers. Many of these people benefited from the services provided by Parkinson’s NSW.
The increase in prevalence of Parkinson’s in our population is outstripping the resources available without additional funding from our/your government. Services which provide access to information on treatments and support quality of life with a progressive disease deserve government support.
